Upcoming Bioshock Game Changes Title AGAIN
Posted by Erik on April 3, 2009

Confused yet? Developer 2K Games is now dropping the earlier subtitle from its BioShock 2 game.

The company said that Sea of Dreams merely referred to the title for the teaser trailer released in October 2008, with the actual game now known simply as BioShock 2, although previously the firm had debated using Sea of Dreams as the official subtitle, the idea has now be droipped entirely.

"We name most of our trailers at 2K and the name of the teaser trailer we released last October for BioShock 2 is called Sea of Dreams," a spokesperson said. “There was talk about adding that as an official subtitle, but we decided to simply keep it BioShock 2. We're sorry for the confusion, but we're glad people are so interested."

Interestingly the company previously denied that it had dropped the Sea of Dreams subtitle in an eariler discussion. I'm praying at this point that this is the end as it seemed as though 2K was confused as to artistic direction. In any event, it appears that I've got some catching up to do, as I've yet to get the FIRST BioShock. As I'm a completist, this is now on my list. Given the trailers I've seen for the sequel, I'm very interested to see which direction 2K will take the game. *SIGH* only 1-2-3-6 more months....
