Sony released White Knight Story in Japan on December 25 2008, and have just announced the first major update for the game. The update will be called "1st. Wave" and has been developed with user opinions, to improve playability of the game. So how are they going to do this:

- Added a new easy-to-use screen menu.
- Kept the classic menu, but added two additional interfaces that can be chosen in preferences.
- Improved online Co-op matchmaking, so that you are matched with people of a similar level.
- And more features that have yet to be announced.

The update will also add support for some new quests. The release date for "1st. Wave" is still to be announced. It is also unknown whether all these features and downloadable content will be available on the disc when the game comes to the West.
