Sega has officially dated their upcoming action RPG, Alpha Protocol, for October 9th.  Alpha Protocol follows the antics of rookie CIA agent Michael Thorton in a modern themed espionage game.  The game was originally set to be released this summer, but was subsequently delayed to be further polished up.  Alpha Protocol is slated to hit the PS3, XBox 360, and PC simultaneously.

Alpha Protocol is developed by Obsidian Entertainment, the team behind Knights of the Old Republic 2 and the Neverwinter Nights franchise.  Obsidian also had another project lined up with Sega, the Aliens RPG, but that game was subsequently canceled.
