Rare Developing Halo 4 for Xbox 360
Posted by Victor Dangelo | Oct 4, 2007 08:20

MTV put up a very interesting article as they looked into who would develop Halo 4 if the rumors are true and Bungie is splitting away from Microsoft, with the leading candidate being Epic.

There were also a few other developers which were named in the speculative piece which may or may not have any merit considering what happens to the whole situation between Bungie and Microsoft. If Bungie stays with Microsoft and continues work on the Xbox 360 then this entire article can be forgotten about.

If indeed though Bungie splits from Microsoft, this could be a huge reality that one of the three companies, Rare, Epic Games, or Ensemble Studios, would take over the development duties of Halo 4.

MTV has stated that Epic would be the leading candidate to develop Halo 4 since they have great experience with Unreal Tournament as well as Gears of War. With the amount of money Microsoft put into Rare though to buy them as a 1st party developer it would be more likely that they would choose them simply because as seen with Perfect Dark Zero they seem to have more of a capability to create a faster-paced FPS. Rare has to get something right eventually don’t they? Halo 4 could be it if Bungie jumps ship!

Enough of the crap speculating. Just wait for something to be announced and then everyone can continue flaming whatever they want. The title of this piece is also suggestive that it is indeed a fact. I think a question mark is in order.
