The Playstation 3 has outsold the Nintendo Wii for the second week in a row in the land of rising sun, selling 56,000 units compared to the Wii’s 36,000.

Nintendo’s DS still leads the overall charts, selling 81,000, with Sony’s PSP selling a very respectable 66,000 in second place.

The XBox 360 barely bettered 5,000 sales, again beating beaten by the PS2, which recorded 8,800 sales in the week ending the 18th November.
