It seems that Konami have finally got their act together and released the much anticipated patch for Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 on the PS3.

Users have reported that upon starting the game this afternoon, a patch is automatically downloaded, which will hopefully solve the online lag problems and maybe even the framerate issues in the single player game.

No word yet on exactly what improvements have been made, but we will follow up this post once further details are known.
