Well we have all been awaiting the news of a Greatest Hits lineup for the Sony PlayStation 3 and with a recent announcement we are finally there. Sony has just announced that the greatest hits lineup will be hitting store shelves in the coming weeks.

The first line of Greatest Hits games are officially Resistance, Motorstorm, Warhawk, Call of Duty 3, Fight Night, Need for Speed Carbon, Rainbow Six Vegas, Assassin’s Creed, Oblivion, and Ninja Gaiden. All Greatest Hits game will cost 29.99 and will come in a red greatest hits case. More games are expected to be announced through out the year, but remember each game must meet certain requirements to do so. Both first party and third party games will be announced by Sony later this year.

This time PAL regions are not being left out as everyone there will also be seeing a greatest hits linup of games. The list in PAL regions will include MotorStorm, Uncharted, Resistance: Fall of Man, Heavenly Sword and Ratchet & Clank 3, along with Assassins Creed and Virtua Tennis joining within weeks. The PAL regions Greatest Hits will actually be called Platinum hits and will be on store shelves August 1. All games will be priced at under £20.

While Sony mentions this is the best line up of games ever, most are dated and already cheap as is. We can expect Sony to be releasing more games to the list in the coming weeks so stay tuned to PS3Center for more news!
