Resistance 2 may officially be the most anticipated title for the PlayStation 3 this year. With the first game being a huge success, fans want to get their hands on the upcoming release as soon as possible. In a recent Q and A many users, including myself, got the chance to ask about a possible beta. While Insomniac normally doesn’t do public betas, we did get them to say “What other game beta’s have done seem to be a good idea to us,” and on came the rumors.

Well it has been confirmed in a recent email that fans will be receiving a Beta for the upcoming hit through Qore Episode 3. While the download for Episode is expected to hit PSN soon, don’t expect to see the beta available for download until late September. Qore is a service offered through the PlayStation Network that users must pay for monthly or yearly.

The Episode of Qore will also feature behind the scenes look at the upcoming DC MMO, behind the scenes of the upcoming Lego Batman game, and will feature a NBA 09 : In the Life of special with other features to be announced.

While gathering futher information we have found out that the the beta will obtainable in other ways as well. People that Pre-order the game from a "certain major game retailer" (we are guessing Gamestop) will have the first chance to get into the Beta. The Beta will then be opened up, after Qore users get their exclusive chance, to all MyResistance community members and possibly users of the official PlayStation site.
