Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare launched back in 2007 to rave reviews and massive sales. Considering its success, it is no surprise that Activision-Blizzard recently announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Activision-Blizzard announced this latest Call of Duty game at recent event in Manhattan, New York called Massive Inc. Besides the announcement that the game exists and is scheduled to launch in fall of 2009, no other information was given. This is understandable, however, when realizing that the games launch is nearly a year away.

Call of Duty 4 was an incredible game that raised the bar for all first person shooters. With developer Infinity Ward back at the helm after Treyarch developed World at War, we can expect yet another groundbreaking shooter come next holiday season.
